SANTA FE SPRINGS — The annual St. Paul High School Blood Drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the school gymnasium, 9635 S. Greenleaf Ave., sponsored by the school’s National Honor Society.

Donors age 17 and older are sought, said school representatives Lois McMillan Maldonado and Mary Anderson.

The students are trying to break their 2009 record of 144 pints of blood collected, they said.

Donors must have proper identification when they register. They are advised to drink plenty of water the day before and eat a hearty breakfast, the representatives said.

To give blood, students must be 17 by March 2 and meet height and weight requirements to participate.

Free T-shirts will be given to all donors.
