LYNWOOD — Lights On! Afterschool conducted an Afterschool Festival for families Oct. 24 at Lynwood High School where after-school programs were promoted and celebrated.

The event paid tribute to Lynwood, Compton, Lawndale and Lennox school districts for their efforts in keeping afterschool programs alive and active in order to help keep communities and students safe beyond the 2:30 p.m. bell.

With both City Council members and School Board members present, the event boasted an array of activities, entertainment and informational booths for families of all ages to enjoy. The event also brought together representatives from school districts in Compton, Lawndale and Lennox for a joint celebration.

Lal tried to kill the after school programs. Thank heavens he is gone! Or does he live on in the soul of Sally, Zim, Bill, Kevin, Freih, etc. Why they still in Lynwood?
