Its now 16 months and still another unsolved murder in Lynwood. Most other "All American Cities" would have these major crimes solved. Is Lynwood getting shorted by the Sheriff's department? Too much bureaucratic red tape and not enough detectives on the streets looking to solve murders?

Well it is now 10 months since this murder. Is the case solved? Who did it? Were they captured? Wave - where is the follow up on this story? People want to know if Lynwood is safe or run by the gangs! What resources are assigned to solve this murder? In Lynwood can you murder someone and get away with it?

Incorrect. The pick up originated in the City of South Gate. However, as far as we have learned this company "Dia y Noche" doesn't have a business license in South Gate, either. The owner of the Taxi Company wants to clean-up thier hands by saying that the driver was no longer working for them. Not true! They need to take responsibility for thier employees. Why do the elected officials have to contact the family? I don't want my tax dollars used to contact the family members and what would they say? It is an unfortunate trategy. I hope the family gets financial help from the residents of Downey and South Gate, as well.

Ever since the shooting I have noticed the presence of a very large task force of sheriffs’ deputies swarming the city, likely looking for the shooter. I think it would be good if the Wave would do some follow up reporting on the case, It would be nice to know if we still have that murderer living among us.

sylvia find something to do besides try and insult Castro. No one is paying any attention to you other than yourself and if you might try raising your children instead of bashing Aide you might be interesting. But uneducated, ignorant as well as jealous your life could be interesting. Go to your bathroom look in the mirror and wonder just what God has in store for your upcoming world. Funny how the world turns and its on its way but you never know when or where wonder why you focus is on Castro when there are more fish in the pond that are on their way and just what are you doing for the murdered victims family, talk is cheap doing something speaks in volume rather than using the family as a reason, look to Billy Martinez and all the othere illegal activities you have been involved with.

They had a no murder clause until the city gets some special award from the mid west. Every kiling so far has been brushed off or ignored or not taken seriously. I would bet the majority of the leaders are more upset that the "no murder" streak is over instead of the children/families affected by these tradegies. When the first child was killed, some council members were busy destroying his character instead of realizing where they live and trying to fix the problem. Then this second one gets killed and nothing. It took years to become a gang member, it takes years to fix it. Increasing patrols of sheriffs is only a bandaid. Some people need to open up a book or talk to kids other than their own to find out REAL solutions.

Mr. Joe Battle passes away recently and doesn't get noticed by this paper. He was a prominent member of the community and the main articles on this paper this week don't mention it. Instead, reporters continue to negatively report our community. Maybe they'll report on Mr. Battle next issue. Maybe if he passed away in some drive by they would have noticed it.
