Huntington Park Chamber to mark its 104th anniversary

HUNTINGTON PARK — The Greater Huntington Park Area Chamber of Commerce will conduct its 104th anniversary celebration with an installation dinner beginning with a no-host reception at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 18 at Steven’s Steakhouse in Commerce.

A steak dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by entertainment, said Dante D’Eramo, executive director of the chamber.

Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard, D-Los Angeles, will be the installing officer.
New officers, who were elected by the board last month and will be installed are: President Don Brabant of Brabant Realty & Management, Senior Vice President Andy Carrasco of the Gas Co., First Vice President Jose Zepeda of El Aviso Magazine, Second Vice President Gilda Acosta of St. Francis Medical Center, Third Vice President Art Bustamante of Gage Bowl and Treasurer Anthony Saldana of Exide Technology.

Dante D’Eramo was re-appointed as chamber executive director and CEO.
A newly elected director to be installed is Theresa Bagues of the Guerra, Cunningham & Bagues Funeral Home.

Re-elected board members are Ron Garcia of Southern California Edison, Mike Goodman of Eagle Florist; and Gina Min, Wilshire State Bank.

Tickets are $40 per person. Checks may be mailed to the Greater Huntington Park Chamber of Commerce, 6330 Pacific Blvd., Suite 208, Huntington Park, 90255.

Various sponsorship packages are available, ranging from $250 to $800, D’Eramo said.

Plans also are under way for the chamber’s 17th annual Carnaval Primavera (spring festival) to take place along Pacific Boulevard April 16-18. Reservations for booth space and sponsorships are being accepted, D’Eramo said.
