Southland gasoline prices rise slightly

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent Sunday to $3.131, the seventh consecutive daily increase.

The average price is 2.1 cents more than a week ago, 10 cents more than a month ago and 16.6 cents more than this time last year, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price rose seven-tenths of a cent Monday, two-tenths of a
cent Tuesday, four-tenths of a cent both Wednesday and Thursday, one-tenth of a cent Friday and two-tenths of a cent Saturday.

The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $3.127, a day after falling one-tenth of a cent.

The Orange County average price is 1.9 cents more than a week ago, 9.4 cents more than a month ago and 17.5 cents more than this time last year.
