Praise God, Mr. Monkey Face has come home! I’m so happy I don’t know what to do! Just as I was in the process of contracting for the services of FindFido.com to find my missing cat, Face (which is what I call him for short) came walking up the driveway Friday and into the house as if he’d never been away. Isn’t that just like a man?!

I would like to see Betty Pleasant and the Wave Newspapers write a story about what really happened to Family Savings & Loan Bank, a respected African Amercan-owned institution. Why did this bank disappear? What did the African American elected officials do (or not do) to save it? Why was an out-of-town bank, sanctioned by the FDIC and with questionable practices, absorb Family Savings and then remove its name from our community? Tell us the real story!

Hi Betty, I am a cat lover too. I am so glad that Face has returned. My two cats (Pumpkin and Tyger) were adopted from the County shelter, and I encourage all who are able to adopt a dog or cat from a local shelter. The economic crisis has caused many owners to turn in their animals and the shelters are overcrowded with pets seeking a loving home.
