Crenshaw routs Manual Arts in girls basketball

Dominique Boyd had 17 points and seven rebounds as Crenshaw High School raced past Manual Arts, 63-28 Friday in a Coliseum League girls basketball game.

Donetta Rye and Xzanthnice Bourgeois had eight points each and Samone Kelly dished out 11 assists to help the Cougars improve to 7-3 overall and 3-2 in league. Manual Arts is 4-15, 0-5.

In another Coliseum League game, View Park Prep (11-7, 3-0) defeated Locke, 52-18.

Stephanie Carr had 44 points and China Smith had a triple-double as first-place West Adams Prep coasted to a 95-4 victory over Los Angeles in a Southern League game.

Carr, a junior guard, also had seven assists, and Smith, a senior forward, collected 24 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists as West Adams improved to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in league. L.A. is 0-2.

The score was 33-0 after one quarter and 57-2 at halftime.

Stephanie Lopez collected 35 points and 11 rebounds to lead Banning (9-6, 1-3) past King-Drew, 48-45 in a Marine League game.

Washington Prep topped Carson, 51-44 in another Marine League game.
Alisha Belt had 17 points and Chante Miles added 15 for Carson (10-4, 2-1).

Southern Section
Inglewood (3-14, 2-0) got 21 points and 13 rebounds from Tayler Champion in a 59-46 Ocean League victory over Santa Monica.
Renee Golliday had 12 points and Hazel Ramirez added 10 points, seven assists and five steals for the Sentinels.

Culver City (11-7, 2-0) remained unbeaten in the Ocean League by knocking off Morningside (6-7, 0-2) by a score of 55-35. Tesha Stokes led Morningside with 13 points.

The 3-point prowess of Dana Perez carried Downey past Dominguez, 65-61 in overtime in a San Gabriel Valley League game.

Perez, who had 18 points, hit a 3-pointer with one second left to force overtime, then hit two more beyond the arc in the extra session to enable the Vikings to improve to 9-9 and 2-0.

Lynwood routed Gahr, 53-31 as Tyonna Outland had 22 points and Angel Dorn added 19 for the Knights in the SGVL contest.

Alexis Love had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lift Norwalk past Glenn, 63-24 in a Suburban League game.

Norwalk is 10-2, 2-2, while Glenn is 8-11, 1-3.
