Andrea Edwards scored 15 points and Tierra Robinson had 11 points, 18 rebounds and eight blocked shots to lead five players in double figures as Crenshaw routed Locke, 72-22 Friday in the Coliseum League.
The Cougars (15-8, 6-3), who built a 41-13 lead by halftime, also got 11 points and 12 rebounds from Ahjaleah Price, 11 points from Diinan Young and 10 from Ashlee Cornelius. Samone Kelly had 12 assists.
View Park Prep 56, Fremont 26
Danielle Pruitt scored 15 points and added five rebounds to lead first-place View Park Prep to a 56-26 rout of Fremont in the Coliseum League.
Rachel Sample had 10 points, while Cristal Jeff and Kristine Dunigan added nine each as View Park improved to 22-5, 10-0.
Mary Alison scored 10 points for Fremont (10-10, 3-7).
Manual Arts 46, Jefferson 43
The Toilers (10-9, 6-3) slipped past last-place Jefferson (3-12, 1-8) in the other Coliseum game.
Marine League
Carson 73, San Pedro 22
Carson (17-7, 9-1), the co-leader in the Marine League, raced to a 33-2 lead by the end of the first quarter and went on to defeat San Pedro, 73-22.
Janitha Iamaleava had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the way for the Colts. Taylor McCoy had 14 points and Annie Currie had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Chante Miles had 10 assists, six steals and five rebounds to go with five points.
Washington Prep 58, Narbonne 34
Reshanda Gray scored 23 points to lead Washington Prep (18-10, 9-1) to an easy win over Narbonne (16-9, 6-3) in the Marine League.
Atoe Jackson led Narbonne with 23 points.
Banning 56, Gardena 46
Gardena’s Latanya Drakes had 25 points and 13 rebounds but it wasn’t enough for Gardena (8-15, 1-8), which dropped the Marine League game.
Banning (4-11, 3-7) had a 19-8 second quarter to take control of the contest.
Ocean League
Inglewood 71, Culver City 41
With star point guard Hazel Ramirez in Colorado for her sister’s wedding, Inglewood still cruised to a 71-41 Ocean League victory over Culver City.
DeAjanae Scurry had 25 points and 15 rebounds to lead the way for the Sentinels (20-5, 6-2). Keyla Morgan had 17 points, five rebounds and two steals.
Morningside 56, Hawthorne 19
Ashli Smith had 21 points and four assists to lead Morningside (14-12, 2-6) past Hawthorne in Ocean League play. Deandrea Toler and Tesha Stokes each had 13 points. Stokes also grabbed 11 rebounds.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Bay League
Leuzinger 75, West Torrance 49
Amir Garrett had 20 points and Te’Shon Burton and Chayson Williams had 16 points each for Leuzinger (8-0 in league).
Ocean League
Inglewood 51, Culver City 41
Jamie Harper scored 16 points to lead visiting Inglewood (15-8, 6-2) in a game played Friday.
Morningside 79, Hawthorne 64
Morningside, down by nine at halftime, defeated Hawtorne in double overtime in Ocean League play.
Hawthorne’s A.J. Brevard hit two free throws with 20 seconds left to force overtime, and Aaron Estis hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer at the end of the first overtime to force the second overtime period. Brevard led Hawthorne (10-15, 3-5) with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Miles Green had 11 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and five steals. Yngwie Valdez also scored 11 for Hawthorne.
Coliseum League
Crenshaw 89, Locke 42
First-place Crenshaw (16-3, 9-0) coasted to an easy victory over Locke Friday in the Coliseum League. The Saints dropped to 10-17, 5-5.
Fremont 60, View Park Prep 31
Michael Sullivan had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Savion Udeh had 18 points and four assists to lead Fremont (17-6, 8-2) to the win.
Marine League
Washington 64, Narbonne 50
Stephen Dafney scored 16 points and J.B. Walker had 12 as Washington Prep took a one-game lead in the Marine League standings with a 64-50 victory over Narbonne.
The Generals are 16-7, 9-1 and Narbonne is 17-8, 7-2.
Kumase De Mesma scored 14 points to lead Narbonne.
Gardena 72, Banning 63
Christian Frankling scored 23 points, and Matt Morris had 19 to lead Gardena (15-7, 6-3) past Banning. Michael Alexander had 22 points for Banning (6-21, 0-10).
Carson 62, San Pedro 52
Victor Robbins scored 21 points to help Carson get past San Pedro. Dominique Bierria had 12 points and Darnell Brown added 11 points for the Colts (8-15, 5-6).
