Clippers center Chris Kaman, enjoying the finest season of his seven-year career, will replace Portland Trail Blazers’ Brandon Roy in this weekend’s NBA All-Star game.

Kaman, making his first all-star appearance, is averaging a career-best 20.2 points per game to go along with 9.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks.

Roy injured his right hamstring last month. Roy, in his fourth season with the Blazers, made the All-Star team as a reserve for the third straight season.

The all-star game is Sunday in Dallas.
