The father of the nation’s No. 1 prep recruit told CBSSports.com Monday that his son will sign a letter of intent with USC Thursday.

Seantrel Henderson, an offensive tackle expected to anchor the Trojans’ line as a freshman, committed to USC on signing day. On the same day his dad Sean said his son was concerned about possible penalties USC would receive from the NCAA.

USC appeared before the NCAA infractions committee Feb. 19-21. The aftermath wasn’t good, as stacks of files were wheeled out of the conference room in Tempe, Ariz. Plus, the hearing lasted all three days, a bad indicator according to experts.

USA Today reported Monday Henderson had received his ACT scores recently and was academically eligible.
