Oregon rally sinks USC

Tajuan Porter scored 16 points to lead Oregon past USC, 54-44 Thursday in a Pac-10 basketball game at Galen Center.

The victory snapped a five-game losing streak for the Ducks (13-14, 5-10).

Oregon was clinging to a 44-42 lead with a little more than six minutes left when it went on a 12-0 run to finish the game.

LeKendric Longmire added 13 points for the Ducks.

Alex Stepheson scored 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Trojans (16-11, 8-7) and Marcus Johnson had 12 points.

Oregon outscored USC 16-4 to start the second half, erasing the Trojans’ nine-point halftime lead. The Ducks then took their first lead of the game when Longmire made two free throws putting them ahead 37-36 with about 12 minutes remaining.
