UCLA junior Priscilla Orozco, a Montebello High School graduate, has earned first-team honors on the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches women’s All-American team.

Orozco, an honorable mention pick a year ago, was one of seven players on the first team. Teammate Grace Reynolds made the second team.

Other Bruins honored were junior Kelly Easterday and sophomores KK Clark and Caitlin Dement, who received honorable mention All-America for the first time in their careers.

Orozco, a product of the Commerce Aquatics Club and a three-time Female Athlete of the Year at Montebello, finished second for UCLA with 40 goals and a team-leading 27 steals and 11 assists. The first-team All-MPSF selection scored at least one goal in 20 matches, includes a high of four in four matches.

At Montebello, she twice led the Oilers to the CIF championship games. She was a four-year varsity water polo and swimmer.

Reynolds, a junior, led the Bruins with 43 goals on 90 attempts, scoring at a 47.8 percent clip. A two-year standout at California (2007-08), Reynolds earned second-team All-MPSF honors for the Bruins in 2010, totaling a team-high 61 earned exclusions in addition to 14 steals and six blocks. Reynolds scored in 23 matches, pouring in a season-high four goals in two contests.

Easterday scored 23 goals, starting all 30 matches as a junior in 2010.

Clark scored 31 goals, playing in all 30 matches during her sophomore campaign.

Dement established UCLA’s new single-season saves mark, registering 264 stops in 29 matches (28 starts).
