Crenshaw tops South Division II rankings

Crenshaw High School is No. 1 in the State Division II South and No. 4 overall in this week’s California football rankings by maxpreps.com.

In the Division II South poll, Moorpark (5-0) is second, Servite (4-1) is third, Bishop Amat (5-0) is fourth and San Diego Cathedral (5-0) fifth. Rounding out the top 10, La Habra (4-1) is sixth, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (4-1) seventh, Westlake (5-0) eighth, Norco (4-1) ninth and San Diego Mission Bay (5-0) 10th.

Crenshaw, which was idle last week, has a victory over Norco (47-44) earlier this season. The Cougars host Manual Arts Friday in their Coliseum League opener.
In the Division III South poll, Oaks Christian (5-0) and Serra (5-0) are one-two.

They met in last year’s CIF Southern Section Northwest Division final with Oaks Christian winning.
