Glenn edges Cerritos

Brian Kelly scored four touchdowns, including the game-winner with 23 seconds left, to lift Glenn High School past Cerritos, 35-29 Thursday in a Suburban League football game that keeps the Eagles’ playoff hopes alive.

The Eagles will take records of 5-4 overall and 1-4 in league into next week’s regular-season finale with Bellflower.

Kelly carried 20 times for 183 yards and helped Glenn to a 21-14 first-half lead by scoring three TDs.

Jose Escobar threw a scoring pass to Arthur Armstrong in the second half to account for Glenn’s other TD.

Aaron Francis scored three TDs, one on a 98-yard kickoff return, for Cerritos (1-9, 1-5).
