Fremont High School outscored Locke, 13-8 in overtime and went to a 73-68 victory Wednesday that helped the Pathfinders maintain their half-game lead in the Coliseum League boys basketball race.
The Pathfinders (14-4, 5-0) hold a slim advantage over Crenshaw (11-2, 4-0), which visits them Friday. Tip off is at 6 p.m.
Savion Udah led Fremont with 19 points and Tim Johnson added 15 points and five assists. Michael Sullivan had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Kaylen Ayers collected 10 points and nine rebounds.
Crenshaw kept pace with a 118-30 victory over Jefferson (3-8, 0-4).
Eastern League
Jordan 57, Roosevelt 41
The defending league champion Bulldogs improved to 10-9 overall and 4-0 in league with a 16-point victory over the Rough Riders (4-10, 0-3).
Huntington Park 55, South East 51
Huntington Park (13-11, 3-1) stayed a game back of Jordan with a 55-51 win over South East (7-7, 1-2).
Marine League
Washington Prep 87, Gardena 42
The league-leading Generals (12-6, 5-0) had little trouble in disposing of Gardena Wednesday.
San Pedro 66, King-Drew 50
Brandon Hrboka had 15 points and nine rebounds and Tyler Rogosic had 12 points to lead San Pedro (12-6, 1-3) past King-Drew.
Narbonne 67, Carson 31
Kumase De Mesma had 17 points to lead host Narbonne (13-7, 3-1) to the victory.
Victor Robbins had 10 for Carson (5-11, 2-3).
Ocean League
Hawthorne 74, Morningside 56
A.J. Brevard had 20 points and four rebounds as Hawthorne (9-11, 2-1) topped Morningside in the Ocean League contest. The Cougars also got 16 points, 11 rebounds and six assists from Miles Green.
A.J. Brevard notched 20 points, four rebounds and two blocks for the Cougars. Miles Green had 16 points, 11 rebounds and six assists and Yngwie Valdez added 10 points for Hawthorne.
Morningside (12-8, 1-2) was led by D.J. Harris, who scored 16 points. Jamaal Hickmon (14), Brennan Jackson (11) and Alante Young (10) also scored in double figures.
Inglewood 68, Culver City 42
Jamie Harper scored 15 points as Inglewood (10-7, 2-1) easily defeated Culver City (8-11, 1-2).
Gerald Evans had nine points, 11 assists and five steals for the Sentinels.
Girls basketball
Carson 52, Narbonne 51
Chante Miles capped a furious fourth-quarter rally by hitting a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Carson a 52-51 victory over Narbonne in a Marine League girls game Wednesday.
Miles finished with 19 points, hitting three 3-pointers down the stretch as the Colts erased a 13-point deficit over the final six minutes.
Annie Curry added eight points and 10 rebounds for Carson.
The win keeps Carson in second place in the league standings.
Ocean League
Morningside 48, Hawthorne 34
Tesha Stokes had 19 points and 21 rebounds to lead Morningside (13-8, 1-2) past Hawthorne (9-8, 0-3) in the Ocean League game.
Deandrea Toler added 11 points and six steals.
Inglewood 67, Culver City 51
Hazel Ramirez collected 17 points, eight assists and five steals as Inglewood (15-4, 2-1) raced past the Centaurs.
The Sentinels also got 12 points and six rebounds from Noelini Touisoa.
