Please join God's Tabernacle of Faith for a very special ordination and consecration service on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. Bishop Dr. Leon Martin will appoint Evangelist Carol Boone as Pastor for God's Tabernacle of Faith.
Evangelist Boone is the eldest daughter of the church founders, the late Bishop Richard and Evangelist Johnie Faye Boone. After the sudden passing of the founders, she continued to strive to keep the ministry and vision from not dying. Her main objective has always been "the ministry first". During the church's transition period, the church was joined by Bishop Dr. Leon Martin. Because of her leadership abilities and spirituality, Bishop Dr. Leon Martin has now appointed her to a much higher office. Evangelist Boone has utilized her gifts and talents for over 30 years in many church departments including ministerial staff, outreach, adult choir president and praise team just to name a few. In 1997, the late Bishop Boone bestowed upon her an Evangelist license.
Evangelist Boone has shown herself to be faithful, willing and obedient to the ministry and the work of the Lord. The wealth of knowledge she has gained and her love for the ministry will take our church family to an even higher level. This is a new chapter in our church history. Let us pray for our new leader as she continues to be humble, prayerful and dedicated to the work of the Lord.
During our regular morning worship service at 11:30 a.m., we will be joined by Missionary Cynthia Ann Bennett from Shreveport, Louisiana who will bring the main message.
A native of Texas, Missionary Bennett is one of seven children. Missionary Bennett set out to discover God's plan for her life. She is a faithful member of Word and Praise Ministries in Shreveport, Louisiana. Recognizing the gift of teaching within her, she received her Missionary license under Apostle Arthur Wilson. Under Apostle Wilson's leadership, she has gained the spiritual training which has assisted her today in helping others experience the abundance of life in Christ. Her goal is to teach His Word as is evident by her spiritual course.
